πŸ›•Temple Walk

Once every year, sunlight aligns perfectly with the Shivalinga inside this cave temple. That's not folklore β€” it's architecture, calculated centuries ago. This Parikrama, walk into one of Bengaluru's most iconic and least understood temples β€” Gavi Gangadhareswara. Guiding us: Dr. Bhaskar Bhat Joshi β€” Head of Department, Nyaya and Vaisheshika, and Associate Professor. Few people can decode this temple the way he does. Spots are limited β€” this is a small-group experience, not a crowd tour.

What to Expect

  • πŸͺ” Abhishekam (Optional, 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM) β€” Witness Nija Rupa Darshana of Shiva up close. The priest personally explains the significance of the rituals and the temple's unique architectural features to Parikrama members β€” a level of access most visitors never get.
  • 🚢 Temple Walk (starts 9:45 AM) β€” Discover the history, symbolism, and hidden details of Gavi Gangadhareswara with Dr. Bhaskar Bhat Joshi.
  • πŸ—£οΈ Q&A β€” Bring your questions. Your chance to go deeper with a scholar who has spent years studying these traditions.
  • πŸ™ Prasadam β€” Closing with prasadam at Adamya Chetana.
